Where exactly are you based? +

London, United Kingdom. The studio is fully remote-friendly but the team is London-anchored. Founders Charlie Simpson and David Henshaw run the work from London, and roughly half our clients are US-based, including teams in Boston, New York, and SF. We invoice GBP or USD from a UK Ltd, your choice.

How does the timezone work for Boston clients? +

London is five hours ahead of Boston. We take morning calls in your afternoon and afternoon calls in your morning. Async work happens overnight on your side, which usually speeds the work up rather than slows it down. The overlap covers an entire East-coast working day plus the London morning, which is more contact time than most US-to-US agencies offer.

Do you take meetings in person in Boston? +

Sometimes. We travel to the US for kickoffs, brand reveals, or major milestones when it makes sense for the engagement, including Kendall Square, Cambridge, and the wider Greater Boston scene. Day-to-day work runs over Slack, async docs in Figma and Notion, and weekly video calls. HUBweek and MIT spinout demo weeks tend to be when we are in town.

Do you invoice in USD? +

Yes. We invoice in GBP or USD from a UK Ltd. Most US clients pay USD via wire or ACH. Net-30 is standard. For biotech and deep-tech clients on grant-funded budgets, we are also comfortable working to milestone-based payment schedules tied to specific deliverables rather than calendar months.

What does a Boston brand sprint cost? +

The two-week Brand Sprint is $15,000 fixed. The Web Package starts at $10,000 and runs up to $20,000 depending on scope. The Growth retainer starts at $7,000 per month. How long does a Boston engagement take? +

Two weeks for the Brand Sprint. Two to three weeks for the Web Package. Run them back-to-back and you are live with a new identity and a launch-ready site in five weeks total. Full rebrands run 10 to 16 weeks. Deep-tech and biotech rebrands under FDA, EMA, or scientific advisory review usually stretch the calendar a little longer.

Who actually does the work? +

Charlie Simpson and David Henshaw. Founder-led, every engagement. There is no junior account manager between you and the work. Both have 15-plus years inside the tech and creative scene, including senior creative leadership at Gala Games and Bitkraft-backed studios. You meet the people doing the work on day one and you keep meeting them through to launch.

What kind of Boston startups do you typically work with? +

Seed to Series C technology companies in AI, fintech, and crypto. Mostly funded, mostly preparing for or just after a raise, mostly at the moment their existing brand has stopped doing its job. The Boston cohort skews technical, with strong MIT and Harvard spinout DNA, plus a Kendall Square cluster of AI infrastructure and applied research. We design knowing your audience is technical and your buyers are skeptical by default.

Do you work with MIT spinouts and deep-tech companies? +

Yes. MIT spinouts, ETH Zurich spinouts, and broader deep-tech teams are a recurring client profile. The brief is usually translating dense scientific or technical work into something a non-specialist board, investor, or customer can grasp without dumbing it down. We have shipped for crypto infrastructure, AI infrastructure, and DePIN networks, which share the same translation problem.

Within the funded-tech remit, yes. We work primarily on AI, fintech, and crypto, but several recent engagements have sat at the AI-bio interface, drug discovery platforms, computational biology, and bioinformatics tools. We are not a clinical comms shop and we do not write regulatory copy, but we build brand systems that translate cleanly across scientific, investor, and commercial audiences.

Can you handle US regulatory or compliance review? +

Yes. We have shipped under live legal review four times this year for crypto teams under SEC scrutiny. The mechanics translate directly to US fintech under FinCEN, OCC, or state-level review, and to biotech under FDA or EMA review. Templates flex around what your team needs to redact, replace, or rephrase. Compliance review adds elapsed time, not work time.

What happens after the launch? +

Most clients move into a Growth retainer. Ongoing brand stewardship, ad creative, content support, conference assets, founder content. From $7,000 a month. Hemi is on a $75,000 per month retainer with us. The retainer keeps the studio embedded so you do not have to brief a new team every time you ship a campaign, a fundraise update, or a product launch.

How quickly can you start? +

Usually within one to two weeks of signing. We run two engagements concurrently maximum, which keeps quality high and timelines tight. If you need to ship before a fundraise, a launch, or a conference like HUBweek, tell us the deadline at first call and we will tell you straight whether the calendar works.

How is this different from a generic design agency? +

We only work with funded technology companies. You will not waste week one explaining what a Series A deck needs to do, why your developer audience differs from your investor audience, or why your homepage has three jobs at once. What if we already have a brand and just need a website? +

The Web Package stands alone. We work to your existing brand guidelines, identity, and tone of voice. Two to four weeks from kickoff to live site, on your existing domain, ready to perform. If the brand needs a tune-up alongside the site, we can bolt on a positioning sprint without committing to a full rebrand.
