FAQ

Questions.

Where exactly are you based? +

London, United Kingdom. The studio is fully remote-friendly but the team is London-anchored. Founders Charlie Simpson and David Henshaw run the work from London, and most of our clients raise from VCs sat between Old Street, King's Cross, and Mayfair. We have walked into the same offices, briefed the same investors, and sat through the same diligence calls.

Who actually does the work? +

Charlie Simpson and David Henshaw. Founder-led, every engagement. There is no junior account manager between you and the work. Both have 15-plus years inside London's tech and creative scene, including senior creative leadership at Gala Games and Bitkraft-backed studios. You meet the people doing the work on day one and you keep meeting them through to launch.

What does a London brand sprint cost? +

The two-week Brand Sprint is $15,000 fixed. The Web Package starts at $10,000 and runs up to $20,000 depending on scope. The Growth retainer starts at $7,000 per month. Fees are GBP or USD from a UK Ltd, your choice. The full pricing context for funded-startup rebrands sits in the Funded Startup Brand Benchmarks 2026 report.

How long does a London engagement take? +

Two weeks for the Brand Sprint. Two to three weeks for the Web Package. Run them back-to-back and you are live with a new identity and a launch-ready site in five weeks total. Full rebrands run 10 to 16 weeks. Regulated industries under FCA or FINRA review run longer.

Do you work with non-UK clients? +

Yes. About half our clients are US-based. The London time zone overlaps US East-coast mornings and Europe afternoons in a single working day, which lets us run a Brand Sprint with a New York team without losing two days a week to scheduling. We invoice GBP or USD from a UK Ltd.

Do you take meetings in person? +

Happy to. Kickoffs, brand reveals, and investor-prep sessions can run face to face when your team is in London or visiting. Day-to-day work stays async over Slack and Figma, which is how funded teams actually operate, but the option to sit in the same room for a strategy session is on the table at Mindspace, Plexal, White Bear Yard, or your office.

How does this compare to other London design agencies? +

Ragged Edge, Koto, Output, and Wolff Olins all do excellent brand work at their respective scales. POW sits at the funded-startup end of that spectrum, founder-led, built around two-week sprints rather than multi-month retainers from day one, and focused only on AI, fintech, and crypto. A longer breakdown sits in our guide to the best branding agencies for funded startups in 2026.

Which London-relevant clients have you worked with? +

Hemi is a Bitcoin layer-2 with London ecosystem presence. We took them from pre-launch identity through to $1.2B secured. Datagram is a DePIN network we took from positioning to 100,000+ network signups in four weeks. OSMI drove $2M in launch revenue. Binsr Inspect shipped a six-page Rails site for $9k versus a $26-52k market equivalent. Full portfolio on the work page.

What kind of London startups do you typically work with? +

Seed to Series C technology companies in AI, fintech, crypto, and B2B SaaS. Mostly funded, mostly preparing for or just after a raise, mostly at the moment their existing brand has stopped doing its job. The London cohort skews fintech and crypto. The New York and SF cohort skews AI and SaaS. We design knowing your next pitch is at a16z London or Index in King's Cross, not a Zoom call.

Do you work with London-based fintech under FCA review? +

Yes. We have shipped under live legal review for crypto teams under similar regulatory scrutiny. The mechanics translate directly. We design knowing legal will redline copy. Templates flex around what your team needs to redact, replace, or rephrase. Compliance review adds elapsed time, not work time.

Are you part of London tech communities? +

Founders Charlie Simpson and David Henshaw both have 15-plus years in the London tech and creative scene. We attend Sifted, Tech Nation, and London Tech Week events. Many of our clients come through founder-to-founder referrals in the ecosystem. We are also active on Slack communities like London Founders, FinTech London, and the broader Web3 London scene.

Can you handle the full launch, not just brand and website? +

Yes. Launch campaigns, social assets, conference materials, paid ad creative, investor updates, founder content. Most clients move into a Growth retainer after launch for ongoing brand stewardship from $7,000 per month. Hemi is on a $75,000 per month retainer with us. We treat the launch as the start of the relationship, not the end.

What happens after the launch? +

Most clients move into a Growth retainer. Ongoing brand stewardship, ad creative, content support, conference assets. From $7,000 a month. The retainer keeps the studio embedded so you do not have to brief a new team every time you ship a campaign, a fundraise update, or a product launch.

How is this different from a generic design agency? +

We only work with funded technology companies. You will not waste week one explaining what a Series A deck needs to do, why your developer audience differs from your investor audience, or why your homepage has three jobs at once. Sector-fluent, founder-led, and our portfolio is the only one in the room.

How quickly can you start? +

Usually within one to two weeks of signing. We run two engagements concurrently maximum, which keeps quality high and timelines tight. If you need to ship before a fundraise, a launch, or a conference, tell us the deadline at first call and we will tell you straight whether the calendar works.

What if we already have a brand and just need a website? +

The Web Package stands alone. We work to your existing brand guidelines, identity, and tone of voice. Two to four weeks from kickoff to live site, on your existing domain, ready to perform. If the brand needs a tune-up alongside the site, we can bolt on a positioning sprint without a full rebrand.
